Haemanthus deformis has bright white flowers that appear before the foliage. These paint-brush like flowers are a feast for pollinators who love their nectar rich blooms.
How to plant
Loosen your soil to a depth of 30cm (mixing in compost and sand) then plant the true bulbs with their necks exposed above soil level in a semi-shade position (in the ground or in pots). You can space the bulbs 30cm apart.
Further Care
Water every 3-4 days or more frequently in pots, when they are in their growth and flowering phase. Do not water when they are dormant.
