Delosperma cooperii is a hardy, evergreen, fast-growing groundcover succulent well-loved for its striking flowers and drought tolerance.
Growth Habit: Low-growing, mat-forming succulent ideal for covering bare soil. Height & Spread: 10–15 cm high, spreading rapidly up to 60–90 cm. Foliage: Succulent, cylindrical, fleshy green leaves that store water. Flowers: Abundant, daisy-like, bright magenta-purple blooms in summer, opening in full sun. Position: Full sun. Watering: Very low water requirements once established; drought tolerant. Soil: Well-drained, sandy or gravel soils preferred. Uses: Perfect for rock gardens, retaining walls, borders, and water-wise gardens. Excellent erosion control plant and pollinator attractor.
