Kiggelaria africana, commonly called the Wild Peach, is a large, hardy, evergreen to semi-deciduous tree indigenous to South Africa.

Growth Habit: Medium to large tree with a rounded crown.
Height & Spread: 8–15 m tall, spreading 6–12 m wide.
Foliage: Oval, grey-green leaves with a leathery texture.
Flowers: Small, yellowish-green, fragrant flowers in spring. Male and female flowers are borne on separate trees.
Fruit: Female trees produce round, velvety capsules that split open to reveal bright orange-red seeds, attracting birds.
Position: Full sun to semi-shade.
Watering: Moderate – drought hardy once established but benefits from regular watering when young.
Soil: Adaptable to most well-drained soils.
Wildlife: Attracts fruit-eating birds, bees, butterflies, and is a host plant for the Acraea butterfly caterpillar.
